EquiLEATHER boots January 17, 2010 Lisa A. Celentano (Florida) I ordered these boots from a horse and tack company and was impressed by the picture and title of EquiLEATHER paddock boot. I received them in the wrong color (no biggie), but also saw they were not leather but vinyl! The company seemed so All-American in their advertising, but these plastic boots are made in China! I called the company and they were very nice, but also informed me that Equi means "fake leather"...and all this time I thought it meant EQUESTRIAN....as in HORSE!! It is afterall, a horse paddock boot!! Not impressed, sent them back, still waiting for my account to be credited.
A boot for water and mud November 11, 2009 N. Chabanais (Slidell, LA) I have had this boot almost a year now. Love them. I have had to track into a paddock of very thick wet mud very often this year with all the rain we have had. My feet have stayed dry. I finally washed them off the other day and they looked brand new, just in time to plunge them in the mud to the ankles all over again. I highly recommend them.
Boot and company review October 28, 2009 Michelle Funke (Greensboro, NC) This boot was not available in the size I needed for my daughter, but the company upgraded the boot and shipped it within one week. Excellent product and customer service! I will definitly order from them again for our horse related equipment.
So Far, So Good! September 18, 2009 C. Morris (Pennsylvania) This is the first pair of paddock boots I have bought in a long time. I love the fact that they have my size - size 11, which is hard to find! I have thicker ankles (cankles...) and the elastic on the sides is wonderful and allows the boots to fit snugly around my ankle, but not cut off circulation!
I also love the fact that these boots look good too. They look very nice, and they fit even better. I've only had mine for a few days, but I have been wearing them to break them in, although they really don't need it. They're a little stiff (but then what boot isn't when you first get it?) but they are extremely comfortable! I'm in college and I've been wearing them around campus with no problems.
Outstanding quality at a great price! April 5, 2009 DWales (USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have owned these paddock boots for a while now and am extremely please over the quality and fit of these boots. The outstanding low price for such high quality is a major plus! I have put these boots through everything. Daily barn and paddock clean-up; barn stall breaking down and sanitizing with large amounts of water and bleach solutions; Florida muddy conditions which can be quite bad; Riding. Through it all these boots have held up. They required NO breaking in and have just gotten more comfortable over time. They clean up quickly and beautifully no matter the abuse and mucky conditions. Quickly on and off due to the zipper design and ability to slip them on and off. Decently ventilated even in the Florida heat/humidity and a comfortable close fit with a decent sized toe box area. These due run about 1/2 size smaller than your standard flats which is normal in boots. These are not too narrow, but well fitting. I wear a 7 1/2 in street shoes, and I bought these in a 8 and the fit is perfect. Works great with half chaps like the Dublin Comfort Suede half chaps. These in brown and the chaps in brown look very smart.
PROS:
* Price
* Quality
* Easy Care
* Handles ALL weather conditions and sheds away water. No staining.
* Fit. Comfortable and molds to your foot after time.
* No breaking in required. How rare is that!
CONS:
* None to date. I am VERY picky and I have been very pleased with this purchase. I will update this review at the year point as only time will tell how the sole holds up to daily use. At 6 months, I am please and you can't beat the price as these have held up so far.
