I was turned onto this product by a forum dedicated to the care of black hair. I was told that it detangled and added shine, which is what the product says it does on the very front. I added a quarter sized amount to my hair after washing it, combed through it, and rinsed it out to find that it had indeed added shine and left it without tangles. I'm very pleased with this product and I will be purchasing the larger size next time.

This helps keep my Portuguese Water Dog's coat tangle free, soft, and slightly shiny (not an easy task on a farm). It is pleasant smelling. It doesn't leave a greasy residue, but there IS something that gets on my hands when I pet her for the first day or two after I use it on her...just leaves my hands feeling smooth so I'm ok with that. I will definitely continue to use Cowboy Magic Detangler for my Porty; now I can let her coat grow luxuriously long instead of keeping her clipped short.

This gives a nice shine for a yorkie coat. I use it between washes to keep her coat looking shiny. Too much of it makes her look greasy, so just a little of the product works best.
